Highlight Project:

Live from the Streets

Live from the Streets is a video series created by director Sam Lipman-Stern (Forbes, VICE, Rolling Stone) and producer Mr. Green (Snoop Dogg, Westside Gunn) most known for airing on VICE's music channel Noisey and for collaborations with Mountain Dew’s Green Label, LG, Apple and more. The series, follows Green globally on a journey collecting audio while learning about local music and culture. Green then takes the various collected sounds (the samples) and transforms them into unique beats that represent the places explored in the episode. After the beat is created, Green combines local artists with industry leaders (from A$AP Ferg to KRS One) to create a fully produced track with powerful lyrics. Finally, at the end of each episode, Green revisits the people he met and sampled on his journey to play them the final track; oftentimes receiving incredibly emotional responses from people who have never heard themselves on recorded audio. The final episodes are a unique music travel series that bring the viewer into an incredible world of music, culture, art and end with a music video from the journey.
